Blood urea nitrogen

Blood urea nitrogen , a nitrogen-containing compound other than protein that excipes from the glomeruli and excreted . When the renal function is slightly damaged , the urea nitrogen can not change , but glomerular filtration rate dropped to less than 50% , urea nitrogen can increase .
For chronic renal failure , the degree of urea nitrogen increase is generally consistent with the severity of the disease :
1.    In renal failure , the glomerular filtration rate decreased to 50ml/min , and the blood urea nitrogen <9mmol/L .
2.   Renal failure , blood urea nitrogen >9mmol/L .
