 When the urine is formed in the kidneys, it will be excreted out through kidneys, ureter, bladder and urethra. If these organs have any types of diseases, which will cause different degrees of hematuresis.

 95% hematuresis is caused by diseases of urinary system, for example, various types of nephritis, urinary tract tumors, nephrotuberculosis, lithgiuria and so on.

  Many medicines can cause hematuresis. There are also some common reasons will lead to hematuresis such as strenuous exercise, nephroptosis and renal vein compression.

  Systemic hemorrhagic disease ( for example, vitamin C deficiency, leukemia) can also cause hematuresis. In addition, 5% hematuresis is caused by benign or malignant disease of adjacent organs in the urinary tract such as pancreatitis, appendicitis and metrocarcinoma transfers to bladder.
